Organizations and members

Organizations, roles, teams and invitations.

Everything in Depos — the GitHub connection, repositories, notes, the allowlist — belongs to an organization. Switch between your organizations from the menu at the top left of the page.

Roles

Each member of an organization has one role:

RoleCan
AdminEverything: connect GitHub, scan, write notes, edit the allowlist and the policy, manage members and teams.
EditorRead everything in the organization.
ReaderRead everything in the organization.

Every change to Depos's data — connecting GitHub, scanning, notes, allowlist entries, the policy, the pull request check scope, and generating, sharing or scheduling reports — needs an admin. Pages a role cannot change still open, and say so.

Organizations are grouped: a group owner has admin rights in every organization of the group, and is the one who creates and deletes organizations.

Members and invitations

Settings → Organizations lists the people of your organizations and their pending invitations. Admins invite people by email with a role, change roles and remove members. An invitation is accepted from the link in its email, signed in as the invited address.

Teams

Settings → Teams groups the members of an organization into teams.
